*Before volunteering on an active construction or repair project site, it is mandatory to complete HFHI training. On-Site basic training will also be provided. Please watch the series of videos in order to be ready to report for your first day of duty.

Volunteer Safety & Training Videos

*These safety videos ARE mandatory in order to safely volunteer on a construction site through Habitat for Humanity.

HabitatLearns
Learning portal with access to online courses. Once on MyHabitat, you must log into HabitatLearns.
If you do not have a HabitatLearns account, click "Sign up for a new account", create a FREE profile and click "Submit." You will have immediate access to available courses. 

Lockton Safety Training
Online safety training of over 25 courses, some applicable to volunteers. Use Access Code: W8NAEBTG

1. Select the appropriate course from the course catalog such as the following:
   • Volunteering On A Habitat for Humanity Job Site
   • Back Safety
   • Fall Safety
   • Ladder Safety
   • Portable Power Tool Safety​
2. Course loads and starts automatically.
3. Watch and listen carefully!
4. When the presentation has ended, you’ll be prompted to take a quiz.
5. Click the green square icon to begin the quiz. Scores 70% and above pass the
   course.
6. When finished, you’ll be given an accuracy score, indicating Pass or Fail (HFHNCM staff do not have access to scores).
7. If you Pass, you will be directed to a course completion screen.
8. If you Fail, we encourage you to log in again and retake the course.
9. On the course completion screen, enter your first and last names in the appropriate fields. In the Location field, enter – Red River Valley Habitat for Humanity – followed by the state.
